I then spent the rest of the night and most of the early morning watching every snowboard video possible in order to whip out some sick moves and surprise everyone! Little did I know what awaited me.
I'm not sure why but every time I start a new sport I assume within the first day I will have mastered it, even though from all the other sports that I do I have learned that there is no substitute for huge amounts of invested time, a healthy amount of conseil and of course falling on your ass over and over again.
And that's precisely what I spent the next day doing! I told my teachers that I probably spent most of the day on my ass and they laughed as if it was a joke, if only! I think the other part of the day was spent en face (looking up at the hill) with my ass sticking up graciously as I slid down the mountain try to stop myself with my knees.
Can you guess which one is me?
La Clusaz probably wasn't the best place to go for my first time but hey, it was a start!
I will soon have a little review of a smaller station closer to Annecy up!
I would like to thank my friends Nikki, Cédric and Fliss for not leaving me on the mountain even when they probably should have, and for motivating me to get down!
再會(再見)!
